The Hot Brown

I'm sure Gordon Ramsey would go nuts over this (and not in the good way) but here is one amazing home version of the famous Hot Brown. Admittedly it looks kinda gross, but trust me when I say it tastes awesome!

Hot Brown Ingredients

White Bread

Turkey

salt

cracked black pepper

Lawry's season salt

butter

chicken stock

Alfredo sauce

cheddar cheese

turkey bacon

tomato's

iceberg lettuce (optional)

First make the bread. I used Julia Child's White Bread recipe. Excellent bread, and not to sweet.

Second cook a small boneless turkey breast in the crock pot. I start it around noon for that evenings dinner. Rub a few pats of butter on the skin, kosher salt, cracked black pepper, and a generous sprinkling of Lawry's seasoning. Cover with two cups of chicken stock and let her cook.

Once you are ready to assemble slice your bread, put a layer of turkey then top with Classico's 4 cheese Alfredo, a bit of shredded sharp cheddar cheese, and crumbled turkey bacon, and diced or sliced tomato's. I also like to eat this with ice cold chopped iceberg lettuce on the side. I don't think it's part of the Hot Brown tradition, but I like the crunch and I need something green on my plate.

I didn't say it was healthy I sad it was good. ;-)
