This was growing in the back yard earlier this summer...it was huge, maybe the size of a soccer ball. Part of me wanted to sautee it in a pan with some butter and garlic. Part of me did not want to make a trip to the Emergency Room.
It actually looks pretty good, but well your right about that emergency room. They grow in our backyard as well, but I wouldn't attempt to try them. I'm thinking of buying the kit to grow mushrooms and then I know they will be safe.

Hmmmm....that is gross looking. I don't know what would make you want to eat it.....like an oyster.
